Renée
L. Mankus began her employment
with the firm in March, 2008,
handling Internal Revenue
Service and State Department of
Revenue tax controversy matters,
Internal Revenue Service
administrative case resolutions,
including the preparation of
individual and corporate
financial statements required by
Internal Revenue Service.
She also prepares
partnership, corporate, and
individual income tax returns.
Ms. Mankus does
accounting and compilation work
for specific engagements for
those clients who do not have
public accountants or
bookkeepers to prepare the
information required.
Ms. Mankus'
Certified Public Accounting
license allows her to practice
before the Internal Revenue
Service as well as most of the
various states.
Ms.
Mankus began her career working
in Public Accounting for Ernst
& Young, LLP, one of the big
four certified accounting
firms.
During her three year
tenure, she focused on
preparation of individual,
corporate, consolidated,
partnership, and non-profit tax
returns ending as a Senior Tax
Consultant.
From there, she spent
nine years with Merrill Lynch
Credit Corporation in a number
of diverse roles and
responsibilities in the
underwriting and technology
groups.
Her experience with the
financial services industry
ranges from personnel
management, managerial and
financial reporting, including
the preparation and maintenance
of budgets, monthly performance
results analysis, reviewing
incentive plan cash awards,
complex financial statement and
tax return analysis for
multi-million dollar loans, and
development and teaching of
financial statement analysis and
tax return preparation for
company employees in the loan
processing and underwriting
groups.
Prior
to her association with the
firm, Ms. Mankus had four years
of extensive experience in
private real estate and
financial service areas
utilizing accounting, tax,
technological, and managerial
skills to successfully grow
businesses.
Her duties included
oversight responsibility for the
establishment and maintenance of
daily bookkeeping through Quick
Books, preparation of corporate
financial statements, quarterly
and annual payroll tax returns
and reports,
Forms 1098, 1099, and W-2, and
final review and approval of
audit report and corporate tax
return preparation documents.
Ms.
Mankus graduated cum laude from
the University
of South Florida
in 1988 receiving a B.S. in
Accounting.
She received her Masters
of Accountancy in Taxation from
the University
of
South Florida
in 1989.
She is a Certified Public
Accountant licensed to practice
in the State of Florida.
Ms. Mankus is a
member of the Florida Institute
of Certified Public Accountants.
